Agreement

By using Vett's verification system, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not proceed with verification.

Purpose

Vett exists solely to detect alternate Discord accounts (alt accounts) and prevent ban evasion within Discord servers that have installed the bot. It is not a commercial data product.

What we collect

When you complete a verification, Vett collects the following data:

• Browser fingerprint — user agent, screen resolution, timezone, language, hardware concurrency, device memory
• Canvas rendering fingerprint — a hash of how your browser renders graphics
• WebGL renderer fingerprint — GPU model, vendor, and driver capabilities
• Installed font fingerprint — a hash of fonts detected on your device
• Audio context fingerprint — a hash of your audio stack's signal processing
• IP address and approximate geolocation — city, region, country
• ISP and ASN information
• A persistent session token stored in your browser's localStorage

How data is used

Data is used only to generate a composite fingerprint to identify if you have previously been in the same server under a different account. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any commercial purpose.

Data retention

Data is retained for as long as you remain subject to the server's moderation history, or until you request deletion. Records older than 12 months may be purged.

Data deletion

You may request deletion of your verification data at any time by contacting the Vett Staff team. Data will be deleted within 30 days of a valid request. You can also clear your local session token by clearing your browser's localStorage for the verification site.

No guarantees

Vett is provided as-is. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in fingerprint matching, false positives, or geolocation data. Moderation decisions made using Vett are the sole responsibility of the server's moderation team.

Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Vett after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
